Leopard Creek Golf Club

On the southern border of the Kruger National Park, deep in South Africa, lies a golf resort unlike any other. An eighteen hole, par 72 course, designed by Gary Player awaits at the Leopard Creek Country Club. Using fresh kikuyu and bent grass, Gary Player has created a course that is a healthy challenge for both average and pro golfers. The pride of the course is an island green on the par five eighteenth hole. Watch out for the crocodiles!

It is known that alligators and crocodiles enjoy the water hazards at golf courses all over. At Leopard Creek, it is not merely crocodiles that like the water. Elephants, hippos, buffalo and antelope can also be seen along the edges of the water features. Truly, Leopard Creek can soothe the itch of both outdoorsman and golfer alike. The clubhouse is an elegant setting upon the banks of the Crocodile River that offers superb views of the course or of the animals that make their home in Kruger National Park. Fully equipped bars and kitchens that serve full meals are also available to the guests.

Many lodges are available for those disinclined to spend the night out in the brush. Leopard Creek offers many golfing concessions for the nearby Lodges both inside and outside the boundaries of Kruger National Park. These lodges range in price and distance, the closest being Buhala Lodge at 10km or 6.21 miles away and the furthest such as Mala Mala Lodge are three hours away.

Please note that it is implicitly stated that this club is for members only but it does allow guests from time to time. Perhaps that is a good thing, for Leopard Creek Country Club offers a golfing experience unlike any other. Mother Africa!
