Iowa! What could be more exciting than that place!? Fields of Corn as far as the eye can see!

Well, as a matter a fact, it is possible to have an exciting time in Iowa.

How?

By playing world class golf at the Harvester Golf Club. Harvester may be a young course, built on former farmland, but the superb conditioning and traditionally inspired design work has created a modern classic that is sure to endure for many years to come.

Considered to be among Keith Foster’s finest work, great care was taken in order to maintain Iowa’s natural splendor during construction. Natural creeks weave among fairways dotted with groves of trees and the fairways roll with the natural prairie. The course is made up of sharp, flowing lines that pay homage to the Midwestern classics so beloved during the Roaring Twenties.

Open to guests, the Harvester Course, honors the legacy of Iowa with a proud but humble aesthetic. Instead of blocking it with trees or mounds of earth, Lake Harvester has been integrated into course, particularly at the 9th hole, the 17th, and 18th holes. The 9th hole is defined by the lake and wetlands so every shot must be true. The 17th green juts into the lake, with a small, bail out area, and the final hole is particularly challenging as it is a hard dogleg to the right, the nestles the shores of Lake Harvest and shots must cross the waters twice. Very impressive for farm country.

Since the course is in Iowa, the Harvester course makes many tributes to the honored craft of agriculture and this even applies to the course. There are multiple options for strategy, with many hazards as well as approaches. Be wise what you plant at the Harvest golf club, for you must later harvest.
