The are many secret places in the world. Places that offer the best but only the very lucky can score a chance to get inside and behold their wonders. One of these places is the exclusive dream of billionaire Warren Stephens, the Alotian Golf Club.

Warren Stephen’s father was the chairman of the Augusta National, a very famous club in the state of Georgia, and the Alotian was designed to emulate the prestigious course and thanks to the efforts of course designer Tom Fazio, The Alotian Golf Club succeeded. Set in the hills surrounding Lake Maumelle, the course sports wooded, rolling tracts surrounded by azalea trees. The states rolling landscape is a good fit for such a game. In some parts of the course the elevation can change by one hundred feet. Combined with a 7405 yard march to the back tees, this course can really make a player work for their game.

The design of Tom Fazio is exceedingly modern in its aesthetics. Its eighteen holes emphasize direction and strategic bunkering. Its tough and long but fair and rewarding of risk. Some may think Tom Fazio’s work is a little predictable, but no one can deny the beauty of this course. Not unreasonable considering its exclusivity. The sixth hole known as the Little Rock is the signature hole at the Alotian. With the player having to direct their shots over a valley filled with rocks down a 210 yard fairway with tee cut into the side of a mountain. It is easy to why professionals are invited by the owner so often.
